Bernie and Winnie are dogs on a mission to track down a missing pooch.

Bernie and Winnie are dogs on a mission to track down a missing pooch.

Co-produced by Audioplay & The Last Great Hunt.

Winnie is an adorable fluffy dog who loves her owner, Mabel. When Mabel’s late coming home one evening, Winnie takes matters into her own paws; and sets out to make her doggy dreams come true by competing in the dog show. But everything goes horribly wrong when she’s snatched by the ranger. With the help of Bernie – a hardened canine detective Winnie manages to narrowly escape the pound.

Bernie’s on his own mission – to find his brother Lionel, who’s been missing for three long days. Our four-legged heroes join forces and wind up uncovering a conspiracy bigger than either of them had ever imagined. Bernie’s brother is being held captive at Mabel’s work, Biochem. And it turns out it’s an evil place where dog clones are made.

Inspired by The Last Great Hunt’s popular theatrical production New Owner, Pooch on the Loose is written by Gita Bezard and directed by Zoe Pepper in collaboration with the original New Owner creative team Tim Watts and Arielle Gray. Pooch on the Loose uses key characters and story world of the stage production as a jumping off point for a wholly new immersive experience for 8-12 year old’s; inviting them to step into the story world and become the furry, four legged heroes.
